Marketing

I’ve begun to sell my programs on ClickBank.  I’ll be listing them today from my site: http://www.wearthware.com.  The first problem I had, when setting up, was to hide the “hop” links.  It was not difficult to find examples to do this.  But the fact that I needed to reveals that the low lifes (thieves, hackers and malcontents) have inundated even the lowest levels of the internet.  Those held by people who, in real life, have a hard enough time eking out a living.

In any case, I’ve been able to create my “thank you” pages (where my customers can retrieve their purchased products) with a somewhat secure process.  In my searches to do this I found that no one has, as far as I can tell, given a good account of the processes involved.  The only other solutions presented were by people wanting to sell their wares, and even presenting them as the only “simple” solution to safe commerce on ClickBank’s Marketplace.

In my next posting I’ll be giving my solution in a series of PHP pages that will, I think, be a simple way for everyone to incorporate my work.  My solution will involve 3 pages; the first is the “return” page, where all the ClickBank return values are collected and saved and possibly used to build your marketing list; the second page is to present the “Click here to Download” button; the third page is to hide the source of the download files.  This solution is able to handle multiple listings in ClickBank and can be easily modified to allow anyone to present their own individual “Download” page.

Check back here in a couple of days and I’ll have a complete posting of the details.
